
James Driggs
Director of Estate Planning
As a principal of Harvey & Driggs PLC, Jim Driggs is the go-to resource for all estate planning needs for VERPA clients. Jim was raised in Hanover County, Virginia, and graduated with distinction from the Virginia Military Institute. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, where he served as class president, contributed to the Journal of Law and Technology, and worked as a research assistant for leading professors in both criminal and civil law.
A general practice attorney and accomplished litigator, Mr. Driggs regularly handles estate administration and probate, as well as defense of traffic citations, misdemeanors, and felonies. He is a certified real estate settlement attorney and prepares deeds, contracts, corporate and business documents, living trusts, last wills and testaments, powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives.
Jim is an active member and former President of the Hanover Bar Association. Each spring he volunteers to present the “So You Are 18” program to Hanover County high school seniors and Parent Teacher Organizations. Outside of his legal practice, he serves as an instructor for the SEAL Team Physical Training program (“Hoo Yah!”) and is a devoted husband and father.
